IMO. There are two things that a Great Plains tool do differently.

#1). A disk will add a compaction layer that will make the planter/drill bounce through the field. It is an uneven later with ups and downs. This will adversely affect seed placement and depth.

#2). The leveling job of a Great Plains tool is second to none.

I understand this is just my opinion and not everyone will agree.
