North Central Kansas | My grandfather on my dads side died when I was 2 years old in 1969. My grandmother died in 1973. My grandfather on my mom's side died in the 1950's and my grandmother died in 1988. She lived at Russell so we did not see her much. My dad's parents had 3 other grandchildred. Two were born during WWII and one just after. My kids were fortunate that Grandma and Grandpa were there babysitters until they went to Kindergarten so they got to bond with them more than the other grandkids. They have a special relationship with them. They have been able to see two of their grandkids graduate from college, three more are in college and two will graduate high school this year. One grandchild is married also.
