SW Minnesota, Lyon County | How many times is too many to bring up to the guy that you would like to rent it though? I don't want to be pushy, so I only mention it once. Had a neighbor, that I live across the section from, stop and talk while I was filling my sprayer. I mentioned to him that it sure would be nice to have some more land to farm. He informed me that he would be cutting back. I told him that I was certainly interested. That fall I see someone else doing the tillage on his farm. I called him and asked what the situation was. He said, "I thought you woulda called.". I don't want to be the PIA that is bugging everyone for land, but how many times do you make contact? I suppose it varies with every situation. |
