Subject: RE: Fork lifts

Have seen them brought into the truck auction in Fort Wayne occasionally selling at fair prices, may be worth checking out on a rainy day. Make sure you get one with off-road tires and decent clearance because sooner or later it will make its way out of the shop in the gravel whether its grabbing something or for an extra hand while wrenching. Side shift is a must have and fork width adjustment is really nice but can be lived without if on a tight budget. A 5k capacity is a nice all around size for general shop work/pro-box jockeying without getting too bulky and hard to maneuver. Be leery of older electric fork lifts as the batteries are worth half the price of the machine if you get a bad one.
