Subject: RE: Thread hijack but along same lines-looking to go dual monitors--

You're right to be concerned about the power supply.
It all depends on which video card you have already (if any).
For instance, the PSU (Power Supply Unit) requirements for an AMD Radeon HD7950 are "Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply."
It will use up 400W under full load. A Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 consumes 500W under full load.
There must be a sticker somewhere on your PSU that mentions its power in watts.
A PSU rated for high power, like my Corsair HX850 (850W), does not mean your computer will consume more watts than a computer with, say a 500W PSU, the actual wattage depends on the components present in your computer, and on the efficiency of the PSU to down-convert AC110V into DC12/5/3.3V, rated in "80+" Bronze to Platinum standard.

Open your computer case side panel to check which PSU and GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) card you have.
But 2 monitors suck. You should try 24.

Nice rig, EAckerman, and good job with your local church!
