If you can hook up to 110 go with it. The difference is like having a knife at a gun fight. 110 is constantly 110 and solar is fine when the sun is bright and strong and can recharge the battery for when it is dark. Long cloudy days means less recharge. Solar all have batteries that is how they stay hot at night and over time the batteries get weaker.
