Faunsdale, AL | I sort of understand about paying for the priviledge of plugging in, but unlike the water pump, the charger will probably never turn a power meter. We have one meter that is seasonal use on a fertilizer tank pump except for the electric fence that was plugged in year round. Meter never moved except during fertilizer season. The charger was the biggest thing I could find, don't use it anymore.
I would use a solar charger and put it in a convenient place for me instead of way off on the end of the line etc to get it near a plug. Of course you can get the remote control shutoff's these days if you want to do it that way. Only thing I have run into is a battery going bad and the local coop not having one so have to order online from some place like battery mart and take a couple days. Looks like if they sold the charger they would keep a battery for it, but I guess that's hard to do with the number of different models available. | |
