Murfreesboro, Tennessee | We have a neighbor that picked our cotton for the last 15 years. His last picker was a 620 CIH. Great picker but there was always something little wrong with it. Just could not get the minor bugs worked out of it. Well it burned last year, and he did not buy another picker.
We purchased a 2001 JD 9976 6 row picker for this year and absolutely loved the job it did. Inline heads were so much simpler and less maintenance compared to the CIH picker. The IH picker was newer and did pick faster, but we really liked the 9976 picker when we compared.
Probably only raise a couple of hundred acres this year too.
