John the ones you are talking about are LCreuset and are form France and are very expensive!

I have seen Lodge Dutch oens at Scheels. Also their pans. Dutch ovens don't come in 2.5 qt, that I know of. Have only seen 4 qt or larger. Maybe can find them at Bass Pro Shop or probably Cabelas, if they are near you.

I have a 6 qt DO from SAMS CLUB. It is enamel covered Cast Iron. Brand name Members Mark Sam's Club brand). Have had it several yrs and I like mine very much. The only draw back for me is the weight but CI is heavy. But I like the more even heating from the CI. My handle is plastic, a little knob on top, some plastics are rated for the oven, if not, some of the chefs on Food Network say to wrap it in several layers of tin foil to protect it.
