USA | Nothing wrong with renting ground as long as you are not addicted to farming it to make things work.
Those that rent the majority of the land they farm are going to have a hard time competing against those who own most of the dirt they farm, with low fixed land costs.
There is more diparity today in land costs than have ever seen in my farming carrer. Differnce in land costs is more per acre than what that acre grossed 10 years ago in this area, in some operations.
