Paterno will be forever tarnished but he had a powerful influence on the Penn state program. Too bad his judgement must have went down hill the last few years.
Osborne was about to be run out of the state in the late 70's and even in the early 90's....he realized after repeatedly getting whoomped by miami speed kills. The mid-90's proved to be as dominating a period as any in collegiate football history.
