Dietrich, Idaho and Mountain Home, Idaho | I have posted quite a few times in the past about my experiences with my raven smartsteer system in both a jd 2840 2wd and a jd 4250 mfwd. Well this last year the smartsteer clutch started acting up(slipping bad) because of all the dust that can get in the cabs of these two tractors(no a/c so have to have the windows open). I absolutely love the smartsteer system but can't use it in these any more but will keep it and put it in one of our swathers. Anyway, I have been looking quite seriously at putting smartrax 3d in the 4250 and am wondering if anyone out there has had experience with smartrax and a jd 4250 or similar tractor? I have been quoted $6,426.50 total for the smartrax 3d system to go along with my cruizer II(with GEN 2 cables) on the 4250. Is that a fair price for this system? Any advice/suggestions/help is appreciated. |
