Subject: Comparing apples to oranges

SD/ND/FL
A 5% drop in the price of beans is much, much different than the point I was trying to make.

$4,000 on $320,000 (20,000 * $16) is pretty close to immaterial IMO. If a person is 25-50% sold, then I can see the point in selling 5% increments. But to start with 5% doesn't really take much risk off the table. If you hit the high, it won't matter. If you hit the low, it won't matter.

A 5% drop in the price of beans applied to all your bushels is a completely different comparison. Apples to Oranges!
