Subject: Slugs in rye cover crop

Dalton, OH
Have quite a bit of rye cover crop planted this fall into cornstalks. One field by my house I look at everyday and noticed it disappearing. Walked it today and have lots of slug damage and found lots of slugs under the fodder. I also had slug trouble with this field in the corn this spring. I have never seen serious slug damage in rye before. This will be notill beans next year and has been notill for 10+ years. Will I have slug troubles in them to? Since its a cover crop, it's not worth treating it this fall. Makes me almost want to get a vertical tillage tool and run it or even go get the chisel out! Anybody else seeing anything like this. Thanks.
