Last I looked Valu-Bilt offered an aftermarket belt driven governor. In their 1999 catalog it was made by Pierce. I can't find it on their web page its search fails to work IF they have it.

Try http://www.gilmore-global.com/product_types/governors.html

Or: http://www.woodward.com/UniversalEngineGovernors.aspx though they tend to look pricey with applications for aircraft and for steam turbines.

http://industrial-irrigation.com/parts.htm?searched=governor&advsea... says they carry Pierce, Woodward, and Hoof governors. In Kansas.

http://www.bucksengines.com/products-parts.aspx says they have Woodward.

372 days ago there was this thread on this forum:

And my link to Valu-Bilt shows a governor, made of silver and platinum.
http://www.valu-bilt.com/product_info.php?product_id=7786&item_numb... though I was unable today to find it with their own search engine.

Google "irrigation engine governor" for a bunch more sources. Quotes not needed.
