Subject: Re: Keeping hands warm in cold weather

Kingston,Mi
I have switched to the all cotton "EAGLE" brand chore glove by Carolina Glove and Safety Co. Described as double woven for cold weather use, 100% cotton and made in the USA. I had used Thinsulate insulated leather gloves for many years on the Government job I had and finally started wearing the "monkey fur" gloves my dad always wore and realized that he was right once again, glove is loose enough to allow an envelope of heated air to surround your hand, down side is I look like an old timer(wait a minuite I am Old). Buy them by the dozen at a feed store, I believe the last dozen was about $25.00 and that was several years ago. When I head out to an auction, I put several pair in various pockets and am good to go for several hours or until my feet get cold in thinsulate boots. For work around the shop or machinery where i will get them real dirty, I buy the one use, cheap yellow cotton fur gloves from TSC, they get dirty or oily, they help start a wood fire in the shop.
