Grinnell, Iowa
The one I have experience with is an earlier model with the gray boom. Overall a good unit but has its weak points. The front boom is really nice and once you get used to having it out front its a little agravating to go back to a rear boom. The booms are fair but ours cracked at several weld joints in the cross bracing. In soft ground you will stall the hydro out if you have much for hills they really could have gone with a more robust setup on the hydro. Keep the oils changed in the gear motors, we had to change 2 of them in the field and thats not a fun job. Overall the machine is acceptable but I would much prefer a Nitro or CIH myself. 5000 hrs is getting up there for a sprayer in my opinion, take a really good look at the legs and be sure they were greased regularly and that the sliding inner portion hasn't worn into the outter carrier or vice versa, and look at the boom closely.
