thanks all, I also seem to hear of the chicken litter being key. I was told nodulation alone will stall out at 70 bu. and was told one needs organic based N like litter to get things cooking. I have seen first hand where excellent soil does not signal for nodule relationship till organic N starts to slip, then the signal is let out for formation, where as a more normal field will start nodulation earlier. Thoughts.... I found a few plants in a small area with one having 216 pods alone. We have a ways to go in current understanding. But all this stuff is very interesting.
