| I'll probably get flamed for this by the no-till crew, but it seems like "Here" anyhow, no-tilling on hills for a long period almost bakes the clay soil into a piece of pottery that absorbs about as well as concrete..............So you don't have errosion because its hard as a rock, but you don't have anything being absorbed either so more run off. Had one piece we no-tilled for a decent amount of time, run-off was greatly reduced when we ran a Minimum till ripper there. But you could probably guess how smooth that went on a hillside here in PA. | |
