Subject: Re: wheat fertilizer programs?

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
I broadcast and incorporate 40# N, 50# Phos, 10# S, 1.5# Zn. as dry. I have put liquid on with the drill but need to cut the N down to about 20#s and take the Sulfur out. Then apply another 50-60# in the spring. Drill around 90# of seed depending on timing and conditions. Earlier wheat and good conditions gets less, later wheat gets more.
Same program for irrigated wheat but add another 40# N through pivot after joint.
