Subject: Same song, another verse

West KY, Miss River County
Unions have pushed Hostess to the top as a high cost producer. They need to get $1.30 for a cake competitors sell for about $.85.

Talked to Little Debbie delivery driver last week. He 'admits' to making $60,000/year as an owner/operator delivery driver. His equivalent at Hostess knocks down over $80K plus full medical, sick leave, and two weeks vacation/year.

The bankruptcy judge told Hostess if the Union struck while they were restructuring he would approve their actions if they fired them all. Since the did strike recently, the next step should be to fire them all.

Also interesting, The Goodyear Tire plant in Union City TN had the same senior Union Steward that is now at Hostess. Same belligerent actions both places. After Goodyear shut down, the plant has been reopened by Titan Tires with fewer employees receiving lower wages and the plant is functioning just fine, thank you.

Union actions were similar in the closing of the General Tire plant in Mayfield KY. When they shut down, the company went elsewhere and the building was demolished and scrapped out.

The union has been responsible for insuring over 3,000 well paying jobs vaporized in West KY & TN.
