I like your thinking, but the farmer in me says, knock down the silo and pile the steel/iron in a pile - bury the concrete or haul to gravel pit for recycle.Then tear apart the grain bins not being used . . . Add them to the recycle steel pile.Load all the recycle steel up and haul it in . . . . . Scrap steel is still high priced.Now you have some cash flow to do as Don suggest in his post above.....
i will second that idea. have seen too many farm places where they try to cobble up a use for everything. makes for a junky looking place with no building really well suited for their use. how much money and work do you want to put in a old silo? no resale either.
if it is a stave silo, you can make something out of the staves. |
