ne MD | I had 2 EVLT's (laser treatments) on them (both greater saphenous and lesser saphenous) about 7-8 years ago. Had a lot of scelerotherapy (injections) after EVLT. When injections did not help, I had to have at least 3 surgeries to tie off troublesome perforator veins (veins that go between deep and shallow veins). I had very painful ulcers on both sides of one ankle, this required a lot of wound care. After the last perforator ligation (7/2012), ulcers finally got better. I still have to wear support socks, but that is better than having to wear bandages. My Mother had them bad too. I am a male, it is not just a female problem. | |
