Subject: Ag Leader vs Deere RTK Guidance Systems

SW NE

Looking at purchasing our first guidance system and after pricing systems from both Ag Leader and Deere, we are leaning toward Ag Leader.  Wondering what all of you guys recommend.

Deere was with a 2630 display, Ag Leader had the Integra display.

We are going the RTK route and would, at this point, use the system for drilling and planting with a Deere 8130, move it to a Walker 44 sprayer then to a Krone chopper and finally to a Deere 9600 combine.  The prices of both systems are fairly close.  One disadvantage for Ag Leader is that to move it between Deere tractors, a $1700 platform kit has to be purchased for each tractor (unless a person wants to go through the hassle of transfering the platform kit of course)  However, it looks like the Ag Leader can move between the different brands of equipment easier.

Your thoughts please....
