Nebraska | iPads have much higher quality screens than any current precision ag console I've ever used. The ruggedness and glare problems are easily solved by buying a case from OtterBox. I'm sure there are other manufacturers that make them too. We put our iPad in an OtterBox case and it's been fine for two years. I'd love to be able to use it as a ISO terminal.
Our iPad came with an iPad connector (don't know what it's called) to USB cable. With iTunes it's really easy to move files from the iPad onto our computer. It sounds like the Crop Ventures Machine Command app automatically saves all the data to a cloud anyway. I think with those two things a USB port on an iPad isn't needed.
