Michigan - Saginaw County
I'm gonna give these guys a gold star for thinking outside of the box.
I do wonder about their innovative drive train - thinking that when they get missippi gumbo between the tires and the track the slippage might get a bit high. And the electrics might get cranky once they get old.

Besides marvelous engineering there is also durability over decades to be considered. A case in point are the engines on my airplane. They are nothing more than a pair of 1930's tractor engine technology - Carburetor, magneto ignition, 7.2 to 1 compression, 2800 RPM maximum. wide bearings, etc.
Besides being refugees from the CCC they are one other thing - dependable. Given clean fuel and even a tiny lick of maintenance, they can be depended on to run, and run, and run.
They are 56 years old. Other than being overhauled every couple of decades, they just keep running.
Something, I suspect that our electronic technology is not going to be as robust about.
