Subject: Re: Speeding ticket

Central Nebraska
It has been a few years since I've got pulled over but I never thought it was worth fighting. I was in the wrong each of the four times I've been pulled over and knew I would not win. I did go to STOP class the first time to have my ticket removed from my record.

As for going to court to make the officer go through the motions? He will most likely want to do it. My brother is a police officer in a larger city and grins ear to ear when he has to go to court, especially if it is when he is not on duty. They get paid an obscene amount for going to court for 15 minutes. I believe it is four hours of overtime pay each time. Comes to almost $200. So every time someone protests a ticket it cost our government way more than to court costs.
