| The cheapest thing to do is pay it. I got an Ohio speeding ticket a few years ago and was told to make the check out for a couple dollars more than the fine when I mailed it in because that would mess their books up and the thing would stay open. That way it would not get reported to the insurance co.s. It must have worked because it never showed up on my insurance. Being from out of state may have played a part in that, I'll never know if the extra $2 worked.
