heck there's likely cattle bought in waukon then hauled to wi for feeding.


I wouldn't be foolish enough to say that it isn't happening, but I know it's against Wisconsin's rules. That's why the auctioneer has to announce "Michigan Origin" for every draft of Michigan cattle selling in Waukon. It's so Wisconsin buyers know they can't bid on them. They used to announce "Minnesota Origin" for my Minnesota calves until last year when we got back on TB-Free status. Until that happened I had to sign a govt. form stating where my feeder cattle originated when I dropped them off at the sales barn.
