N.E. Iowa | Had a girl in our area that was going home one night. Came over a hill and there were cattle in the road. Totaled her car and it ended up in the ditch. Onstar with their air bag deployment alert came on line. She was unconscious and they continued to talk to her till she came to. She had no idea what had happened. They already had the ambulance on the way to her.
My wife just got a new car (2013 and the onstar is for 6 months) and like most say just piece of mind for her driving at night with the huge numbers of deer around here.
If you go to their web site you can buy a 3 year subscription for around 14 dollars a month. Refundable if you cancel.
We also have AAA Plus. If something happens just use Onstar to call AAA for you, towing, flat tire etc.. They can tell exactly where you are if you traveling in unknown area they can tell with GPSing your car.
