Southwest Illinois | Having had over a handfull of Gleaners over the past 30 years I generally had been pretty happy with the product. We thought long and hard before trading our R75 in on a 7120. The 75 had all the updates and quite a few tricks added to it-which we generally did to all Gleaners. I can't compare anything to the new S series and I couldn't even point you to a farm in the area that owns one, but I would be darn hard pressed to go back. While the 7120 has more capacity than our old 75 I wouldn't say in would run circles around it but the 75 definately had to work harder at it and in high mositure corn the 7120 is much more forgiving. I suspect the S76 is probably a fairer comparison today and it could be a comparable machine. Even still you have to deal with a marginal at best AGCO dealer and then put up with AGCO's parts service-or lack there of. The definition of AGCO can be summed up as good products backed up but little or no service and support. | |
