Floyd County, Iowa | Boat ramps are a hoot. I saw a guy going to launch his Bayliner boat (big fiberglass) on West Okoboji Lake in Iowa. The ramp is concrete, with traction grooves, and steep. He had a roller trailer, and he started backing down the ramp, but he took off the bow hook before he started down. Boat just rolled off the trailer- right on the concrete ramp 30 feet short of the water. We were on the water waiting to load up, and could see pieces of fiberglass and lower unit flying everywhere. Heard a lot of screaming and cussing, too. | |
