Michigan - Saginaw County | Hmmm, so the gas engine is the equal of a diesel...
So, why aren't there any 300HP + new tractors offered with gas?
In fact why aren't there any 150 hp new tractors offered with gas?
In fact, Kubota (and the others) does not offer a gas engine in their tractors above 40 hp.
Show me a gas semi being made today.
If you want a gas pickup, go for it. But don't go around saying it is a better engine than diesel for hauling because factually that is simply wrong.
Just go read the performance tests for 3/4 ton pickups in the magazines - do you see any gas engines exceeding the diesels in even one single pull test?
Of course not.
I'm not brand centric. Currently we have and use Duramax (love em), Cummins (love em), International (lukewarm love), and Mercruiser (believe it or not) diesel engines.
Now, for mileage on the road, I love my little Saturn GAS engine.
Choose the right engine for the job.
