Maybe to start with, what is it about the 1250 you don't like that has you looking at a white? I've had a 5100 and 6100, long ago had a 900 and also 5400 sbs and now run a 1760. I liked the staggered disk openers of the CIH, seed drop was a problem but 1250 has to be pretty good I would think. With the whites they did a fine job but i did have some trouble getting all the units to plant even and also even run through a little wet area and you are digging out between the opening disks, same with the JD. I know the cure for that is to not plant through a wet spot. :) I find the JD easier to work on then the whites and it does a fine job putting the seed where you want like the others. One thing over the years it seemed and still seems like there is a lot of iron and heft to the CIH compared to either white or JD.
