Subject: is it worth writing the commissioner about BCBS raise?

East central Iowa

My wife's insurance company has asked for a 13% increase.  That's a little over $1000  a year increase.  There is a comment period in which we can show up or email or write a letter.

I'd like to say that they've made a lot of money off her for years without her having problems and inflation is pretty flat right now so I don't believe they are justified in raising the rate that much.  In addition they've dropped some things they used to pay for and raised the copay for office visits.  I've not seen where they paid anything more than last year to the doctors for the same procedures either.

Does the commissioner just rubber stamp these or is it worth the time to write?
