Subject: Accuracy of Deere's SF1 vs. Ag Leader using WASS

Iowa
Deere wants $6900 for a new starfire 3000 globe and the different steering wheel deal(called ATU, maybe?) hooked to a brown box running their SF1.

Local coop wants 7400 for AL Versa,1500 globe( I think), terrain compensation thingy in the cab, and a clip-on steering wheel deal ( not the old finger-pinching motor), running WASS.

Deere guy says sf1 is more accurate. Coop guy says that's just talk-- the AL will be just as accurate and is NEW touchscreen not ten-year old stuff Deere doesn't even support anymore.

To be used for tillage and anhydrous only (Raven controlling the ammonia).

I don't have a clue what to do, the Deere seems way more expensive for what I'd be getting, UNLESS it is more accurate and more dependable.

I am not at all interested in buying stuff on the net and putting it together myself-- I have no desire to learn that much about this stuff and I want someone local to call when it acts up.

Any help appreciated.
