Oxford County, ON | The local phone company approached us within a few months of having our elevator leg up to put wireless internet on it.
They got:
3 receivers
2 small transmitting dishes that point to other towers
1 super expensive cabinet about the size of a gym locker
They paid for a 110V outlet to be wired for the cabinet as well.
Access to the site 24/7 for repairs of their equipment but they will notify us beforehand unless its an emergency.
We got:
Free high speed internet for farm, my house, uncle's house. Probably would have given us more locations if we'd asked.
Our account is flagged so ANY phone/internet problem we have automatically goes to the top of their to-do list.
Haven't seen one of their trucks come to do anything since about 2 weeks after they installed it. They probably got the better end of the deal, but we've always been happy with them, so why be greedy. | |
