The heater valve that is controlled by the thermostat is indeed under the seat and they are notorious for sticking open or leaking by, the end result is that it blows hot air all the time because the heater coil is the last thing the air flows over. There are 4 bolts around the seat base and the seat will tilt forward for access.
MX270 just blows heat. Is there a way to turn it off?
