TNT, Marion Calmers data says alot about the soil as a reservoir for P and K. I imagine with cover crops the sky is the limit there. But in your neighborhood they probably say you could fertilize the soil with that from his farm.
I wonder what we would "know" today without a couple decades of cheap fertilizer.
