Subject: RE: Asking about tough farm economy times

S.C. Wisconsin

Being a dairy farmer who weathered 2009, has taught me to always set a number on how much equity you would be allowed to lose. I set a number about half through 2009 and warned my son that I will not stay here until all of my equity that worked for all of my life is gone. It didn't get to that number, but you have to be realistic. There are some that say you should never give up, I say bs. You better know when to cut you loses and run.
