Subject: RE: Hugger corn head

Central Illinois
We also run a 6-30 hugger but on a R65. We put new flutes on from Shoup(as suggested above) also put stalk stompers on. Had a neighbor ask us if we had a chopping head. By the way our flutes look like they will need to be changed after two seasons. Son was a deere service tech said they had customers that would change rolls midseason.

So be sure you have good flutes on your rolls.

At one time there was a more agressive roll to put on this head but the cost was about $200 per roll
