Iowa | There are some programs out there that are Android/iOS based for record keeping, but they are just that. No data analysis or any high powered processing.
Until these software companies see that these mobile devices are the future, we will be bound to a desktop/laptop to do our heavy analysis work.
I would encourage everyone who uses SMS/Farmworks/SST/etc to contact their tech support and have them make some type of formal request for their mobile and/or office software to be able to run on a mobile device.
Minimally it would be nice if they could put their mobile software on Android/iOS and have a sync feature where you could wirelessly sync back to the office software using your data plan or wifi.
Optimally they would integrate their mobile software with their office software and make it all able to run on a mobile device for better portability. | |
