East Central SD | I agree with Indy - there is a lot of difference in fuel quality these days. A couple of years ago a large amount of sub-standard #1 fuel got sent to the terminal and the straight #1 was gelling up when it was above zero... cost a lot of people money for towing, filters, etc but the supplier never admitted to anything or paid any damages. I don't remember how big of an area was affected but it was quite large.
To your question - my fuel supplier told me #2 would be fine down to 20 degrees and with Power Service additive #2 would be good down to zero. I run almost straight #1 in the loader tractor during January and February but we can get pretty cold here. | |
