| It would be slim odds that they would find the only treated seed out of billions of seeds in a load of wheat so they would have to assume that even though they found one in a probe, there are probably many more seeds that are treated in that load. Imagine showing up at a flour mill or some type of food processor with a load and finding a single treated seed. No doubt the load would be rejected but that would be the least of your worries. I would almost think you would be banned from hauling in there again and if you had recently hauled in grain, i would think they would have to quarantine the bin where it went to check for more seed.
Its not that 1 seed out of billions will hurt anything but it shows somebody was careless and there could be many more. Treated seed is one thing we use that should not he taken lightly. Regulations around farming arent getting anymore relaxed and having a bunch of treated seed showing up at elevators isnt going to help anything. | |
