aren't you always purchasing your feed, even if from yourself, the opportunity cost is the saleable value, if the livestock aren't adding more value to the feed than what it can be sold for you might as well quit the livestock, lots of ways to do livestock math, but they should be able to stand on their own if they are worth the time and investment.
Anybody on here purchase all or a majority of their feed needs?
