The last line of the original post says it all. A consistent and structured approach probably it the biggest thing that will help. My girlfriends 16 year old is autistic. If he keeps his routine he is much happier and feels much better. Neighbors son was very similar. He graduated top of his class and got a scholarship full ride to college. To an engineering program.
