Coles County, Illinois | A friend had an Ag Leader WAAS system installed on a 4960 MFWD. It was a smartsteer type system with a servo connected to the steering wheel. I disked 40 acres with it yesterday. It seemed to me that the system needlessly oscillated the steering back and forth about a 1/4 turn. The oscillation was pretty uniform taking about 3 seconds to do a cycle. Display never showed more than an inch off. Seemed to me to be odd.
Another issue was that it took a lot of effort to get the unit to disengage with the steering wheel. After the first round, I went to using the foot switch every time.
