We are running an 870 7 shank and have had good luck with it. We have had some problems with the disk leveler system which is getting resolved but other than that we haven't had any problems. As far as other makes/models I have not had any experience with them. One of the limiting factors on the 870 I think is that it is hard for trash to flow through the disk levelers because of having the shanks on 24" centers instead of 30's. If ya have more questions just ask!
