Subject: Views upon different tillage & farming pratices for N. MO

Chillicothe, Missouri
I am currentaly nearing graduation from my college. then I will be looking to see about getting a job with a company to recieve health insurance.

I have been considering some different farming pratices to attempt to use on our Small/Hobby size farm.

Are there/is there anything that could be benificial to help get the farms we use, and invest in up to a point where they would be prepaired for cash renting?
We would most likely be willing to purchase a farm, do some tree removal, along with drainage work before begining to rent it to others.

One pratice that I am highly considering is, tilling our rowcrop areas, in March or early April; then instead of having a final tillage pass ahead of the planter to spraying a day before planting with our 3pt Hardi Sprayer. Is this a feasiable idea??

Also, what map displaying gudiance system would be, or could be the best for me to consider?
Thanks
