Central Wisconsin | In WI I feel drops don't pay. Have Pivots with and with out.Drops don't have as nice of water patern. If you are using well water you will have mininum evaporation. If from pond(higher water temp) it might pay. I believe water will not evaporate till the temp of the water is above the dew point temp. In Wisconsin ground water temp is lower then the dew point most days. Out west they use more suface water then here and have much lower dew points so drops have a much better pay back. Plus it is windier there. Some areas I don't believe they even use end guns because of wind. | |
